Providing garden design, maintenance and consulting throughout West Sussex
Growing up surrounded by countryside and the life that comes with it, Eleanor comes from a long-line of gardeners in her family. She was introduced into horticulture by her granny and continues to work alongside her, forever learning and working hard. Eleanor decided to pursue gardening as a career in 2015 when she was just 19. She attended Brinsbury campus to study, achieving a Distinction star diploma in level 3 horticulture. Now 24, she has a thriving garden maintenance and design business.
Working in town gardens to larger landscape gardens, Eleanor is a traditional gardener who uses classic techniques that incorporates current modern research; she uses traditional tools to care for your garden and doesn’t use powerful chemicals.
Since she began working in private gardens, Eleanor noticed a distinct gap between our natural landscapes and manicured gardens. She likes to bridge this gap by using design ideas that provide low maintenance, wildlife friendly areas that mirror our uncultivated spaces throughout the UK. The planting schemes include plants that mimic/clone plants we find in naturally in hedgerows, fields, meadows and coastal areas.
Eleanor is also a maker and wood carver. She uses material from work undertaken through her garden maintenance business; often trees are storm damaged or need to be removed and she uses the wood to create bespoke products. Take a look at the ‘Make’ tab in the menu to read more.
Recently, she launched a YouTube channel; uploading videos that are exciting, interesting and relevant! Take a look at www.youtube.com/eogardening/
